Relationship difficulties range in scope, but can be crippling at times. Many couples know the feeling of wanting desperately to stay together, but hate the day-to-day quarrelling, or are constantly tiptoeing around sensitive subjects.
Relationship challenges can be hard enough to navigate, even before the complexities of LGBTQ+ life are added to the mix. You might be dealing with the challenges of an open relationship, or the social pressures to embrace this lifestyle. Perhaps your relationship brings with it the pressures of stigma from family and the outside world – whether you’re trying to traverse relationships within this prejudice, or dealing with starting over again without those previous family members. Dealing with external expectations and internal aspirations is often way more complicated for us, with far fewer role models to help us learn to manage this life experience.
Our joint couple’s therapy sessions will help you to uncover the reasons behind your relationship difficulties, and show you ways to overcome these obstacles.
